Den kulturelle spaserstokken
Me and Annie Björkman are doing some gigs together for "DKSS" in April. We have collaborated musically several times before, but this will be our first "tour." Here's a link to our most recent YouTube-video together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTvCHbu1UmQ

New Musical Project - Schpork
Schpork is a trio consisting of Thortrillion Wilhelm Tomsborg, Annie Björkman and myself. The style of music is a sort of mellow and minimalistic electronica. Annie does her thing with the vocals, I do mine with the ukulele, and Thortrillion does the rest. Our first single, "Tears", released the 14th of March on most streaming platforms.

Bachelor's Thesis Submitted to Hawaiian Music Archives Project
My main thesis from the folk music bachelor's degree has been translated with some help from Astrid Hulda Johannessen and is now available in English as well as Norwegian. Thanks are also due to Shawn Yacavone from Hawaiian Music Archives at Hawai'i State Archives, who gave me solid advice on which sources I could use for the paper. The audio files referred to in the text have been made accessible with the help of QR-codes (addendum). In the text, you'll be presented challenges I've endured and discoveries I've made while adapting traditional Norwegian folk tunes to the ukulele while trying to maintain a credible traditional expression. Is it even possible?
The paper can be read in its edited form with QR-codes in both English and Norwegian here (Hawaii State Archive):

Tropical Winter Ukulele Festival 2025
17th-19th of January
"TWUF" is an annual ukulele festival hosted in Leppävirta, Finland. I attended back in 2022 with a few performances and was welcomed again this year. This time around, I took part in the promotion leading up to the festival on elementary schools with performances and workshops, as well as performing at the festival itself. I have posted pictures and impressions from the experience on the Norwegian Uke Facebook page.
You can read more about the festival here: https://tropicalwinterukulelefest.weebly.com/welcome.html
